Gaming Console Repair

Why choose The Mobile Hub?

We run gaming console repairs out of our Annerley, West End, Kelvin Grove, and Gladstone locations, and it’s the kind of work our team genuinely enjoys. Consoles come in with all sorts of problems, and more often than not, we’ve already seen that exact issue before.

PS5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, doesn’t matter which one you’ve got. We handle both the hardware and the software side of things. A console with no HDMI output, one that won’t power on at all, one that keeps overheating and shutting itself off mid-game, a handheld that’s stopped charging properly, a disc drive that’s jammed, or Wi-Fi that keeps dropping mid-match. We see all of it, pretty regularly actually.

We use quality replacement parts, not whatever’s cheapest, because a console that breaks again in a month isn’t a real fix. Same-day turnaround is possible for a lot of jobs, and we’ll always tell you the price upfront before we touch anything.

Controllers are their own thing. Sticky triggers, buttons that don’t register, stick drift, a controller that just won’t pair anymore, we get a lot of these through the door. Every one gets tested properly before it goes back to you. You’ll notice the difference the next time you’re mid-match.

Gaming laptop running hot or chugging through frame drops? We fix those too, mostly cooling and performance issues, so it can actually keep up during longer sessions.

If you’re after a repair shop that doesn’t overcomplicate things, that’s us. Walk-ins are welcome for most jobs, no appointment needed. We’ll tell you straight what’s wrong and what it’ll cost, no runaround. That’s really the whole reason people keep coming back.

Our Gaming console repair work in Brisbane and Gladstone sees a steady stream of PS5s, Xboxes, and Switches come through, mostly for power issues, games crashing randomly, or a console that’s overheating and cutting out. It’s rarely as bad as people expect.

Our techs go through each console properly. Fans, ports, HDMI parts, whatever’s damaged inside gets replaced so you’re not stuck waiting around longer than you need to. Disc-drive issues show up a lot too, whether it’s a drive that won’t read anything or one that’s physically stuck and won’t spit the disc back out. Usually a same-day fix once we’ve had a look.

Controllers get the same treatment. Buttons that don’t register, sticky triggers, jammed inputs, connection drops, we run everything through proper testing and won’t hand it back until it actually works the way it should.

As for gaming laptops, we mostly deal with cooling and fan problems and general slowdowns, getting things running smooth again for longer sessions.

FAQs

Which gaming consoles do you actually repair?

We handle gaming console repair for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch — most of what people bring in really. Red ring on Xbox, a Switch that won’t connect, we’ve dealt with both plenty of times.

My PlayStation keeps throwing disc read errors, fixable?

Yeah, that’s a common one, usually the disc drive itself. Once we’ve had a look we’ll tell you exactly what’s needed.

Do you recover saved games and profiles if my console dies?

We try to pull saved data and profiles before doing anything else. Nobody wants to start a 200 hour save from scratch.

Can you upgrade my console, or do you just fix what's broken?

Both, actually. If you want more storage or a performance bump while it’s already with us, we’ll sort that out too.

Do you need a deposit before you start the repair?

No deposit. We diagnose first, give you a clear number, and you decide if you want to go ahead.
